Peer Review Process

Detailed Explanation of the Peer Review Process (Single-Blind Review)

The peer review process ensures that the submitted papers meet high academic and ethical standards before being published. The COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Guidelines will be strictly followed in this process.

Step 1: Paper Submission

  • Authors submit their manuscripts through the online submission system.
  • The submission must comply with the conference/journal’s formatting guidelines.

Step 2: Editorial Check

  • The editorial board conducts a preliminary assessment to ensure the paper aligns with the conference/journal’s scope.
  • Papers failing basic formatting, plagiarism checks, or scope alignment may be rejected without review.

Step 3: Single-Blind Peer Review

  • The manuscript is assigned to expert reviewers in the relevant field.
  • Single-Blind Review: Reviewers know the identity of the authors, but authors do not know the reviewers.
  • Reviewers assess the paper on the basis of originality, methodology, significance, clarity, and references.

Step 4: Review Outcomes

Based on reviewer feedback, the following decisions can be made:

  1. Accepted with Minor Revisions: The paper requires small corrections before final acceptance.
  2. Major Revision Required: The paper needs significant changes and must be resubmitted.

Step 5: Revised Submission

  • Authors address reviewer comments and submit the revised manuscript.
  • The revised version undergoes a second round of review (if needed).

Step 6: Final Decision (Accept/Reject)

  • If all required changes are satisfactory, the paper is accepted for publication.
  • If the reviewers find the manuscript unsuitable even after revisions, it is rejected.

Step 7: Publication

  • Accepted papers are included in the conference proceedings or journal.
  • Papers published in indexed journals (Scopus, Web of Science) may undergo additional technical checks.

Adherence to COPE Guidelines

  • The entire review process follows ethical guidelines as recommended by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
  • Ethical violations such as plagiarism, duplicate submission, or data fabrication will lead to rejection and possible blacklisting.
